Russia plans to build 72,000 electric vehicle charging stations by 2030

According to the Russian Satellite News Agency, Russia’s electric vehicle industry development plan before 2030 shows that by 2030, at least 72,000 electric vehicle charging stations will be built in Russia.

The plan is implemented in two phases: 2021-2024 and 2025-2030.

In the first phase of planning and implementation, Russia plans to launch at least 9,400 charging stations, of which at least 2,900 are fast charging stations.

Another key indicator of the first phase is the production of electric vehicles reaching a level of at least 25,000 units per year.

The plan shows that in the second phase, Russia plans to build and operate at least 72,000 charging stations, of which at least 28,000 are fast charging stations.

According to the balanced development plan of charging station infrastructure, before 2030, 144,000 charging piles will be built in Russia, and each charging station can charge 10 electric vehicles at the same time.

The plan states that in order to ensure uninterrupted driving, the distance between the two closest charging stations on the general road should not exceed 100 kilometers.
